USCC Kootenay Ladies Project Coordinator

 

Purpose: The purpose of this position is to assist the Kootenay Ladies Committee and the Catering Group by organizing events that involve their culinary skills to financially support internal endeavors and external Charities, extend hospitality, provide a service to the greater community as well as fulfill their individual obligations to the USCC.   

 

The applicant will not have authority in administration nor financial decision making but can make recommendations to the committees of both the Kootenay Ladies and the Catering Group to support prudent management practices.

 

The applicant will be expected :

                - to work with both committees in a cooperative and supportive

                   manner.

                - to complete the coordination of events in a timely manner

                            - planning

                            - scheduling of volunteers and staff

                            - ordering and purchasing

                            - renting of supplies, if needed

                            - maintaining operating templates for continuity purposes

                - to maintain a solid relationship with the North / South

                  volunteer phoners.

                - to develop a process to receive and maintain product orders for

                  Bake Sales sponsored by both the Ladies Committee and the

                  Catering Group.

              

Qualifications:  The applicant must have: 

                - Good communication and social skills to interact efficiently

                   and effectively with all groups and individuals.

                 - Computer proficiency in Word and Excel programs.

                 - At least 1 year work experience within the Ladies Committee.

                   Preference will be given to more experience in this category.

 

This position will be reviewed annually by the USCC Kootenay Ladies Committee then reported to the membership to its effectiveness.

 

Salary: Events will fund this position at 7.50% of gross income or $30.00 per event, whichever is greater, but not to exceed $500.00, plus mileage @ .42 per kilometer.

 

Invoice to be submitted by the incumbent.
