Molly was predeceased by her parents, two older sisters and an older brother. Larry Popoff of Terrace, BC (formerly of Grand Forks, BC) passed away at the Terrace Hospital on November 17, 2013, at the age of 69, after a prolonged illness. His brothers, Nick and Cecil, and his sister Lillian were in loving attendance at his bedside. His two daughters, Michelle and Lange had come from afar to visit with him earlier.

Cecil William Planedin, 68, of Victoria BC, passed away surrounded by family, Tuesday April 2, 2013.
Born December 7, 1944 to Anne and William Planedin in the Doukhobor community of Grand Forks, BC, Cecil was the youngest of eight children. In the first graduating class of the Kootenay School of Art in 1963, he met Mary Jennifer Whittall in 1966, and they married in June of 1972.
Cecil is survived by his siblings, Patsy, Marie, Annabelle and Gordon, his 'Partner in Time' Jenny, his amazing children, and his beloved grand-daughter Koa.
A celebration of his life, and artwork, will be held in Fernwood, Victoria on Sunday,

With tears and heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved Diane in Boundary Hospital, Grand Forks, BC, on March 11, 2013. Diane was born in Grand Forks February 10, 1944, to parents Fred and Nellie Makaoff, where she also met and married Ward Walker with whom she had two children.
Diane will be forever remembered and sadly missed by her son Gary in Grand Forks and her daughter Tara (Murray) in Pitt Meadows, granddaughters Hailey and Jayden, Pitt Meadows, older brother Frank (Frances) Makaoff in Grand Forks and younger sister Connie (Ken) Arishenkoff, also in Grand Forks, and nieces and nephews. Mary Maxwell (nee) Maloff, age 90, passed away peacefully, March 4, 2013, in Maple Ridge BC, with her grandson Blair Streloff and granddaughter Trish Streloff holding her hands. Originally from Taghum BC, Mary later moved to Grand Forks with husband Fred Voykin and daughter Mary Voykin; she was pre-deceased by both. She moved to the West Coast with husband Mike (Masloff) Maxwell in 1969. She'll be missed by her family, grandson Blair, granddaughter Trish, great granddaughter Ella and great grandson Caleb.

Naida worked for Vergo Developments, Abetkoff farms and GF Recycling. She later married Ian Taylor and they had a son Derek. Naida's hobbies were reading, crocheting and knitting. She also enjoyed doing her ceramics & her Word Search. After a stroke in 1996, Naida's health deteriorated, till her passing.
Naida will be sadly missed by her loving husband Ian, daughter Stacy (Terry), son Derek and granddaughter Sutton, her sisters Marlene Ulmer and Nancy Kajel, nephew Bill Argotoff, sister-in-law Elizabeth Argotoff, and numerous cousins. Naida was predeceased by her parents, brother John, niece Debbie Kajel, and brothers-in-law Roy Ulmer and Elmer Kajel. Cremation; no service by request. Arrangements entrusted to Everett Baker of Grand Forks Funeral Home.

Mike S. Zibin of Grand Forks, BC passed away February 11, 2013, age 90. Born in Grand Forks April 13, 1922, youngest of the five children of Sam and Mary Zibin, Mike married Annette Stushnoff in 1946, and they lived in Grand Forks all their life. Mike was predeceased by his parents and siblings many years ago and by his beloved wife Annette in 2008. He is survived by his three children: son Larry and wife Nina of Grand Forks, son Tom and wife Loveron of Langley, BC, daughter Sandra and husband Dave Gould of Victoria, BC; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren and their families; and many other relatives.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 18, 2013 at the USCC Community Center in Grand Forks, with burial to follow at the Sion Cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Everett Baker of Grand Forks Funeral Home.

DONALD GEORGE SISSONS - Posted February 13, 2013
Donald Sissons of Christina Lake, BC passed away suddenly on February 7th, 2013 age 67. Don was born in Hamilton, Ontario. He married Polly Samoyloff in 2000 while living in Kamloops, BC and they recently retired to Christina Lake.
Don is survived by his wife Polly and her sons Perry (Zulphia), Lawrence, Stephan (Deena), Dwayne (Sally), and her nine grandchildren. He is also survived by his father George of Vernon, BC and sisters Judy of Vernon, Theresa of Nanaimo, BC and family.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 15, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at the Grand Forks United Church with burial to follow in the Evergreen Cemetery and reception at the Grand Forks USCC Community Centre.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Don's name to the Kelowna General Hospital Cardiac Care Unit or will gratefully be accepted to plant a tree in Don's honour.

Elizabeth Chernoff of Grand Forks, B.C. passed away at the Kelowna General Hospital on January 13, 2013 with her family by her side. She was blessed with 86 years of life.
Elizabeth is survived by her three daughters, Betty (John) Sapriken, Gloria (Walter) Zoobkoff, Terry (Tony) Chursinoff, 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and her sister, Kay Fuller.

Paul A. Verigin of Kelowna, BC (formerly of Grand Forks, BC), passed away peacefully on January 5, 2013 at the age of 72. He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy, daughter Patty and her husband Lance Davidson and their sons Jade and Jesse; also, daughter Marianne Verigin; and son Larry Verigin and his wife Diana.Paul was an example of what living a good life was all about. He was a strong, kind, loving man who was an independent thinker and always up for a challenge. He will be missed.
